Beck - The Scorpion

A brutally battered woman, Monika, manages to flee from her home with her two children. Later, the body of a dead man is found in the same house. The murder was preceded by an assault; bloodstains found in the kitchen correspond to Monika’s DNA. The Beck team do everything they possibly can to find Monika and her two sons. The family has vanished without a trace. The suspicion that Monika been murdered intensifies. Beck contacts women’s crisis centres and learns from one of them that Monika and her children are being kept in hiding. Monika refuses to see the police and tell them who battered her out of fear of reprisals. Why? Her tormentor is already dead?
