Verdict Revised- Episode 4

A deeply concerned mother pleads with Markus to take on the case of her son. She is convinced that her son is falsely convicted of a hit and run accident. But the son – Svante – decidedly does not want Markus and the group to take on his case. He claims that he has confessed to the hit and run because he is actually guilty, despite the fact that the Group uncovers more and more evidence that he is not telling the truth. But why is he lying? Is he protecting somebody? Is he being threatened? In his search for the truth, Roger goes to great lengths – indeed, he even goes too far in his willingness to help Svante’s girlfriend. He is forced to learn the hard way that sometimes the truth can be far worse than even the most unpleasant lie.
