BECK – In the Shadows premieres on March 20

BECK 54 – In the Shadows premieres on March 20 on TV4 Play Plus. BECK returns with a new film in which a masked person steps out of the shadows and forces the police to hunt both perpetrators and protectors. At the same time, the BECK universe continues to grow on TV4, with shooting of two new films this spring – BECK 55 and 56.

In BECK 54: In the Shadows, a gang in one of Stockholm’s suburbs is suspected of a fatal shooting. The police locate the suspects some distance from the crime scene – where they appear to have been delivered by a masked person whose identity and motives are shrouded in mystery.

A cross-border police operation is launched to prosecute the gang’s leader and at the same time find out who the unknown actor is – before the person strikes again.

The cast includes Peter Haber, Valter Skarsgård, Martin Wallström, Jennie Silfverhjelm, Måns Nathanaelson, Elmira Arikan and Nina Zanjani.

BECK 54: In the Shadows premieres on TV4 Play Plus on 20 March and is produced by Francy Suntinger and Malini Ahlberg at Filmlance International, part of Banijay. It is directed by Lisa Farzaneh, with a screenplay by Fredrik Agetoft. The head of drama at TV4 is Johanna Lind and the executive producer is Jon Mankell. BECK is a co-production between TV4, Filmlance, Nordisk Film Production and ZDF, in collaboration with DR, TV 2 Norway, Nordisk Film Distribution and Banijay Rights. BECK is distributed internationally by Banijay Rights.
